public IBindingFallbackConverter? TryGetConverter(Type fromType, Type toType)
Summary: Attempts to retrieve the best fallback converter for the specified type pair.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
fromType | Type | The source type to convert from. |
toType | Type | The target type to convert to. |
Returns: IBindingFallbackConverter? --
The converter with the highest affinity for the type pair, or null if no converter supports the conversion.
Remarks
This method is lock-free and can be called concurrently from multiple threads. It queries each registered fallback converter via GetAffinityForObjects and returns the converter with the highest affinity (> 0).
If multiple converters return the same affinity, the last registered converter wins (implementation detail based on iteration order).
Exceptions
| Type | Condition |
|---|---|
| System.ArgumentNullException | Thrown if fromType or toType is null. |
