Attributes: [RequiresUnreferencedCode("Reflects over custom delegate Invoke signature; members may be trimmed.")]
public static Type GetEventArgsTypeForEvent(Type type, string? eventName)
Summary: Gets the appropriate EventArgs-derived type for the specified event name on a Type.
Parameters
| Name | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
type | Type | The type of object to find the event on. Must preserve public events under trimming. |
eventName | string? | The name of the event. |
Returns: Type -- The type of the event args used by the event handler.
Remarks
Trimming note: the event handler type is obtained from EventHandlerType, which does not carry DynamicallyAccessedMembersAttribute annotations. This prevents expressing a complete trimming contract here.
Exceptions
| Type | Condition |
|---|---|
| System.ArgumentNullException | Thrown when type is null. |
| System.InvalidOperationException | There is no event matching the name on the target type. |
| System.MissingMethodException | Thrown if the event handler type does not expose an Invoke method. |
